AMHERST, MA - Sophomore middle hitter Emily Ratcliff (Storrs, CT) posted a match-high 12 kills as the Amherst College volleyball team improved to 11-1 with a 15-4, 15-4, 15-6 non-league win over visiting Mt. Holyoke on Thursday.

Junior outside hitter Erica Hewes (Woodside, CA) added 10 kills while junior setter Meredith DeMeules (Los Angeles, CA) tallied a match-high 35 assists to go along with six digs and four kills. Sophomore defensive specialist Missy Mordy (Issaquah, WA) also had a strong game with nine digs.

Abigail Franks led Mt. Holyoke with nine kills and nine digs. The Lyons fell to 5-4 with the loss.

Amherst returns to action at the Amherst Invitational starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday.
