Jeffs Wrap up Regular Season with 3-0 Win at Hamilton

CLINTON, NY – The Amherst College volleyball team wrapped up its regular season with a 3-0 win at NESCAC Quad host Hamilton College Saturday afternoon. The win leaves the Jeffs with a 24-4 (7-3 NESCAC) record going into tournament week.

Amherst played another strong match this afternoon, the last regular season contest for senior co-captains Kristin Quinn (Pacific Palisades, CA), a hitter, and defensive specialist Laura Golden (Boca Raton, FL). Quinn finished with a team-high 10 kills and seven blocks, while Golden chipped in defensively with four digs.

Amherst also got strong play from junior hitters Jaclyn DeMais (Hillsdale, NJ) and Whitney Kouvaris (Jacksonville, FL); they combined for 17 kills, 16 digs and three blocks.

Sophomore setter Sarah Heller (La Canada, CA) dished out another 38 assists in the match to pace the Jeff attack. Amherst also saw another high-energy match from its lone first-year, defensive specialist Bethany Belisle (Austin, TX), who kept numerous Hamilton attacks off the floor with a team-high 16 digs.

Following today's contest Amherst recieved the third seed in the upcoming NESCAC Tourname
