AMHERST, Mass. – Sophomore
Tor Metelmann won two races as the Amherst College men's swimming and diving team swam to a 172-110 win over Western Massachusetts rival Springfield College on Sunday afternoon at Pratt Pool.
The Mammoths concluded the dual meet season with a record of 5-3 and have finished with a winning record in all 24 seasons that Head Coach
Nick Nichols has led Amherst. The Pride fell to 7-5 in duals this season.
The Mammoths now turn their attention to the NESCAC Championships, which will take place from Feb. 16-19 at Wesleyan University.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS:
* Metelmann won both the 200-yard breaststroke and the 100-yard individual medley. He posted a season-best 2:06.02 in the 200 breast to win the event for the second time this season and touched in 53.13 seconds to lead an Amherst sweep of the top three spots in the 100 IM.

Andrew Bernstein finished in 1:35.34.
* Yuen went on to win the 100-yard backstroke in 53.08 seconds and has won the event in both of his two starts in the event this season.
* Bernstein won the 50-yard freestyle in 22.08 seconds, his second win in the splash and dash this season.

Jaden Olson led an Amherst sweep of the top three spots in the 200-yard freestyle, touching in personal-best 1:45.02 in his first collegiate start in the event.
* Junior
Jeff Gerber finished atop an Amherst sweep in the 100-yard breaststroke with a season-best time of 59.00 seconds to win his first race of the season.
* Sophomore
Gabriele Lunardi followed up two wins in yesterday's meet with a victory in the 200-yard butterfly, posting a time of 1:54.49 to win the event for the second time this season.
* Competing in the event for the first time this season, junior
Nolan Scanlan touched first in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:56.17.

Tyler Knightly won the longest race of the day, leading an Amherst sweep of the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:46.69 to win the event for the third time this season.

Henry LeCates captured the 100-yard butterfly in a personal-best 50.87 seconds.
