AMHERST, Mass. – Williams College captured the Little Three Championship with a 167-121 win over the Amherst College men's swimming and diving team in a dual meet on Saturday afternoon at Pratt Pool.
Both archrivals entered the meet with unbeaten records. The Ephs, ranked 11th in the nation in the latest CSCAA Division III poll, improved to 6-0 this season. The Mammoths, ranked ninth in the Northeast-North Region, fell to 4-1, snapping a six-meet dual winning streak that dates back to last season.
The Mammoths are back in action on Saturday, Jan. 21, visiting NESCAC foe Connecticut College for a 1 p.m. dual meet.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS:
* Sophomore
Jaden Olson won two individual events and was part of a winning relay team. Olson won the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 50.16 seconds and took first in the 100-yard butterfly in an even 50.00 seconds, both season bests. Olson has now won 8 of 10 individual races in his debut season with the Mammoths, finishing second in the other two.
* Sophomore
Gabriele Lunardi won a race for the third straight meet, capturing the 1000-yard freestyle with a personal-best time of 9:44.08.
* Sophomore
Andrew Yuen picked up his second win in the splash and dash this season, winning the 50-yard freestyle in 21.80 seconds.
* The Mammoths closed the meet with a win in the 400-yard freestyle relay as Olson, sophomore

Tyler Knightly teamed up to top the podium with a time of 3:08.80, Amherst's best time of the season.
