AMHERST, Mass. -- It took the Amherst College baseball team only four batters to establish that Wednesday might just be its day as the Mammoths went single, single, home run, home run and led 4-0 en route to a 17-3 victory over Clark University at Memorial Field.
Amherst improved to 7-3-1 heading into a weekend series at conference foe Hamilton. The schedule for the weekend has shifted, with the two teams slated to play a nine-inning game at 12 p.m. Saturday and a doubleheader beginning at noon Sunday. Clark fell to 9-7 with the loss.
