#17 Amherst bounce back with 6-3 win at #28 Dickinson

CARLISLE, PA — The #17 Amherst College men's squash team got back to winning ways on Monday morning versus the #28 Dickinson College Red Devils. In their third consecutive away match, the Mammoths beat Dickinson with a score of 6-3 at the Kline Fitness Center, giving the Red Devils their 11th loss of the season.

Up next: The Mammoths win brings their season record to 7-3 (3-0 versus NESCAC opposition). Amherst will now travel back to Western Massachusetts and look forward to their next match at home on the Davenport Squash Courts. On Friday at 4pm, Amherst will take on the #10 Tufts University Jumbos. The Jumbos have won three of their first seven matches of the season. 

GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
  • The Mammoths were strong towards the bottom of the lineup, winning at the #5 through the #9 spots.
  • Four of Amherst's six wins were in straight sets. 
  • Sophomore Joseph Toth won his sixth match of the season at the #3 spot, defeating Noah George despite losing the first set.
