AMHERST, Mass. -- Nine Mammoths won individual events as the Amherst College women's track and field team hosted the Amherst Spring Fling on Saturday.
Up next, Amherst will split competition between the Carla Coffey Invitational and the Silfen Invitational on Friday, April 11.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS:
* The 4x100m relay team of sophomores
Rachel Hubley and
Camilla Lash, senior
Eliza Cardwell, and first-year
Ellie Jolly won the event recording a time of 48.20.
* Senior
Sylvan Wold won the 1500m, registering a personal best time of 4:37.39 and finishing over eight seconds ahead of the runner up while classmate
Julia Schor placed fourth crossing the line in 4:48.98.
* In the 100m hurdles, junior
Myeh Medina placed second overall, clocking in a time of 15.57 while classmate
Arissa Grace McGowan recorded a season best of 15.94 to finish third. Senior
Anaya Thomas placed fifth posting a of 16.12.
* In her season opener, senior
Casie Eifrig won the 400m producing a time of 57.82.

Héloïse Hughes won the 100m with a New England Division III qualifying time of 12.47 before placing second in the long jump with a mark of 5.35m.
* In the 800m, junior
Piper Lentz won the event by over two seconds, delivering a personal record of 2:12.40. Sophomore
Zoë Marcus finished as the runner up clocking in a time of 2:14.95.
* Medina won the 400m hurdles posting a time of 1:06.70.
* In the 200m, Lash finished second overall notching a time of 26.19. Hubley and Cardwell placed third and fourth, respectively, recording times of 26.36 and 26.95.
* The Mammoths placed first and second in the 5000m, as first-year
Flora Biro crossed the line with a personal best of 17:16.39 and classmate
Addison McGoey established a personal best of 17:37.15.
* The women's 4x400m relay of Marcus, Eifrig, Lentz, and first-year
Hannah Adhikari won the event in 4:04.21.
* Sophomore
Emma Ramsingh won the discus with a season best of 39.69m before placing fifth in the shot put with a season best of 10.89m.
* Thomas won the javelin throwing a distance of 26.47m while
Payton Sorensen placed fourth with a mark of 24.04m.
* Sophomore
Leah Smith tied for first in the high jump registering a season best of 1.57m while Thomas recorded a fourth-place finish mark of 1.52m.
