AMHERST, Mass. - Four members of the Amherst College Softball team were announced to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Honors, it was announced today. Senior captain Abby Moravek (Libertyville, Ill.), and sophomores Lulu Leppard (Nashua, N.H.), May Mishima (Alpharetta, Ga.), and Abby Rebhan (McLean, Va.) earned the recognition.

Formerly known as the College Sports Information Directors of America (COSIDA), the CSC divides the NCAA institutions into nine geographic districts, with Amherst being located in District One. In order to earn Academic All-District honors, a student-athlete must have played in at least 90 percent of their team's games – or started in 66.7 percent of them - during the recently completed season and have maintained at least a 3.5 undergraduate cumulative GPA.

Moravek, a chemistry major, earned her second All-District selection, and wrapped up a solid final season with the Mammoths. From the circle, she pitched 79.1 innings and produced 80 strikeouts. In the batter's box, Moravek was third in the team with a batting average of .356 and an OPS of .998, and produced 21 RBIs and three home runs in her final hurrah as a Mammoth.

Leppard, an economics major, followed up a breakout first season with an even better sophomore campaign. She made her biggest impact at the plate, leading the team in four hitting stats: batting average at .446, slugging percentage with a .713, and on-base percentage at .504 (all fifth in the NESCAC), as well as OPS with a 1.217 (sixth in the NESCAC). In 101 at-bats primarily at the cleanup spot, she recorded 27 RBIs, which lead the team, six triples (third in the NESCAC), and four home runs. In 31 games playing mostly at shortstop, a position she came into the season unfamiliar with, she also recorded 46 putouts and 43 assists. Leppard also picked up recognition on the All-NESCAC First Team and the NFCA All-Region Third Team.

Mishima, a statistics major, earned her first All-District Selection. In her 71 at bats, she had a .254 batting average with two RBIs.

Rebhan, an economics and mathematics major, earned her first All-District Selection. In the pitching circle, she appeared in 24.1 innings and struck out 10 batters. In the batters box, Rebhan was at bat 75 times with a batting average of .267 and produced nine RBIs and two home runs.

The Mammoths finished the 2026 season with a 11-25 record, including a 5-13 record in NESCAC play.
