With the tie, Amherst drops to third place in the conference standings and increases its winless streak to three games (0-1-2). The Lord Jeffs will take on Tufts University tomorrow at 4 p.m. in Medford, Mass., while the Camels will host Hamilton College at 3 p.m.

Nick Brunette '13 (Chaska, MN) needed only three minutes and 10 seconds to put Amherst on the board, with Matt Rhone '11 (Dedham, MA) and Elliot Bostrom '14 (McLean, VA) picking up the assists. Ryan Riffe tied the score at 1-1 3:43 into the second period, but the Jeffs would head into the third frame with a 2-1 lead thanks to a goal from Luke Arnold '11 (Lincoln, MA) with 2:43 remaining. Mark Colp '12 (Wareham, MA) and Ryan Edwards '14 (Rochester, NY) were credited with assists on the play.

Amherst once again could not hold on to its lead, as the Camels brought the score to 2-2 when J.J. McGregor netted a power play goal 7:16 into the third period. The Camels would take the only three shots of the overtime period, but Corey stepped up to make three key saves.
