Box Score SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Annika Nygren '16 scored once and dished out three assists to help lead the 11th-ranked Amherst College field hockey team to a 4-1 win on the road Tuesday against Springfield College.

First-year Elizabeth Turnbull was the recipient of two Nygren assists while classmate Mary Grace Cronin tacked on the other Amherst score. Nygren and Turnbull also posted three shots on net each.
Sarah Ducharme scored the lone Pride marker off an assist from Olivia Cabral as a stingy Amherst defense allowed just three shots on goal.

After roughly 14 minutes of scoreless action, Ducharme and the Pride cut the deficit to one but were unable to tie the game as Elizabeth Turnbull notched her second of the contest with seven seconds remaining before the break to give the Jeffs a 3-1 lead at the half.
In the second stanza, Grace Cronin added an insurance tally at the 57:16 mark as the Amherst defense remained strong en route to the win.
