ORANGE, CA. — The #14 Amherst College women's tennis team opened its spring break trip to California in style on Sunday, March 15th, sweeping Chapman University 7–0 at the Eric J. Anderson Tennis Center to move to 3–1 on the season, and 1-0 for the trip. The Mammoths were dominant from the first serve on Sunday, winning all three doubles courts before rolling through singles without dropping a set. The Mammoths are looking to maintain their momentum for the remainder of the week.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Tina She continued her strong form, dismantling Lucy Wallin 6–1, 6–0 at #2 singles for another dominant straight-sets performance after pairing with Karolina Dobiecka for a 6–4 doubles win at #2.
- Cody Huang was efficient at #3, defeating Makaylee Dahms 6–2, 6–1 while also teaming with Katjä Jules Viberg for a clean 6–2 doubles win — dropping just three games in each of her matches on the day.
- Anwitha Duduka matched Huang's efficiency at #6, blanking Jaya Manhas 6–3, 6–0 to close out the sweep.
