Seniors honored as #13 Dartmouth takes 7-2 win over #12 Amherst

AMHERST, Mass. – The Amherst College women's squash team fell to 13th-ranked Dartmouth College by a 7-2 score on Tuesday afternoon at the Davenport Squash Courts.

The Mammoths, ranked 12th in the nation in the latest CSA rankings, fall to 8-4 on the season while the Big Green snap a six-match skid to improve to 4-8.

Junior Lauren Weil won in five games at the #4 position, rallying from a 2-1 deficit to win the match with an 11-9, 6-11, 7-11, 11-5, 11-6 scoreline. Sophomore Callie DeLalio picked up the other win for the Mammoths at the #2 position, winning by default when her opponent was injured and unable to continue.

Amherst honored seniors Keeley Osborn, Lilly Soroko, Emma Spencer and Margaret Werner before their final match at the Davenport Squash Courts.

The Mammoths are back in action tomorrow (Wednesday, Feb. 2) at 5 p.m., visiting NESCAC foe Connecticut College to close the regular season.
