#12 Tufts posts 7-2 win over #13 Amherst

MEDFORD, Mass. – Tufts University picked up a 7-2 win over the Amherst College women's squash team on Saturday at the Tufts Squash Center.

The Jumbos, ranked 12th in the nation in the latest CSA rankings, improved to 4-2, while the 13th-ranked Mammoths fell to 3-3.

The Mammoths are back in action on Friday, Jan. 5, hosting 20th-ranked Dickinson at 4:30 p.m. on the Davenport Squash Courts.

MATCH HIGHLIGHTS:

* Amherst's two wins came from the fourth and fifth positions, both in matches that went the full five games. First-year Yana Sharma overcame Maria Arsenieva in a back-and-forth match at the fourth position.

* Senior Callie DeLalio staged a remarkable comeback from two games down to defeat Aleezah Burhan, winning the final two games by 12-10 and 13-11 scores.
