#15 Amherst earn another flawless win over #27 Hamilton, 9-0

AMHERST, MA — On Saturday morning, the #15 Amherst College women's squash team secured an impressive victory in their second match of the 2024-25 season. Competing against NESCAC opponents at the Little Squash Center, the Mammoths defeated the #25 Hamilton College Continentals with a decisive score of 8-1. 

The Mammoths improve their record to 2-0 (2-0 against NESCAC teams). With less than 24 hours to recover, Amherst will gear up for their next challenge. At 11am tomorrow, they will face the #31 Hobart College Statesmen at the Smith Squash Center in Geneva, NY. 

GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
  • No Amherst player has yet to lose a match versus their first two opponents. The Mammoths record of individual matches is now 18-0.
  • The Continentals failed to win a set versus the higher-seeded Mammoths.
  • The longest match occurred at the #1 spot. Senior Tanmai Pathak won in three tight sets versus Sarah Stonestreet in 29 minutes.
