#15 Amherst yet to drop a set this season with third successive 9-0 sweep versus #29 William Smith

GENEVA, NY — On Sunday morning, the #15 Amherst College women's squash team competed in their second match in as many days during their weekend trip to upstate New York. Following a commanding win over the #27 Hamilton College Continentals on Saturday, they delivered their first non-conference win today against the #29 Hobart College Statesmen. Playing at the Smith Squash Center, the Mammoths secured a convincing 9-0 victory and continue their perfect start to the season.

Amherst's unbeaten streak improves to 3-0 (2-0 in NESCAC play). The Mammoths' next challenge comes on Friday, as they remain on the road, heading to Hanover, NH, to take on the #11 Dartmouth Big Green. Scheduled for 3:30pm at the Berry Squash Courts, this matchup marks Amherst's first encounter with a top-15 team this season. Dartmouth currently have a 1-0 season record, after beating #13 Georgetown with a score of 5-4 on Saturday.

Junior Lily Thomas won in her first match in an Amherst College jersey this season, notably winning the second set in a 14-12 nailbiter.
