#13 Amherst Overcome #16 Middlebury, 8-1, to Advance to CSA Nationals Final

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The #13 Amherst College women's squash team continued their impressive postseason run with a 7-2 victory over #16 Middlebury College at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center on Saturday afternoon. The Mammoths extended their winning streak to five matches, securing their spot in the final match of their CSA Nationals campaign.

Up Next: With this victory, Amherst improves to 17-5 overall and will now play their final team match of the season tomorrow against the #15 Georgetown University Hoyas. The Hoyas hold a 7-10 season record, and the match will take place tomorrow at 9 AM at the Arlen Specter US Squash Center, where Amherst will look to finish their season on a high note.

  • Senior Tanmai Pathak set the tone at the #1 spot, finishing her match in just 11 minutes, closing with a dominant 11-0 final game.
  • Junior Alex Brown showcased resilience at #3, fighting back from two sets down to win a thrilling five-set battle.
