#13 Amherst Sweeps #24 St. Lawrence, 9-0, in Dominant Home Performance

AMHERST, MA — The #13 Amherst College women's squash team rebounded in commanding fashion on Friday evening, sweeping #26 St. Lawrence University 8-0 at the Davenport Squash Courts. The Mammoths dominated from top to bottom, winning seven of their eight victories in straight sets, and conceding just one game across all matches.

Up Next: With this win, Amherst improves to 14-5 overall. The Mammoths will close out their regular season on Sunday at 12pm, hosting the #26 Chatham University Cougars for Senior Day at the Davenport Squash Courts. Senior Day will honor the team's seniors, Tanmai Pathak and Isabelle Tilney-Sandberg. Chatham enters the match with a 2-6 overall record, and Amherst will look to continue their strong momentum before heading into CSA Nationals.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS:

Senior Kristen Daniel fought through a five-set battle at the #1 spot, edging out Angel Otshabeng 13-11 in the deciding set to cap off a thrilling win.
Junior Brigid Brandon, sophomore Ella Miller, and junior Morgan Chaudhary all won in straight sets, with Miller dropping just five total points in her match.
First-year Clara Dawn showcased resilience at #5, responding to a second-game loss by dominating the next two sets to take the match in four.
