AMHERST, Mass. -- Amherst College senior Jack Sampedro (Miami, Fla.) has been named D3baseball.com All-Region I First Team, it was announced recetnly.

Previously, Sampedro had been named First Team All-Region by the ABCA/Rawlings while also collecting a third All-NESCAC Team selection this season.

The senior recorded a .351 batting average on 47 hits and 34 RBIs this season, which rankedfifth and sixth in the NESCAC, respectively. On the mound, the sidearm pitcher served as the Mammoths' primary closer, going 3-3 on the year with four saves and a 2.70 ERA.
