MIDDLEBURY, VT. -- Ji An shot a 5-over 76 Sunday to lead the Amherst College women's golf team to a tie for 4th place at the George Phinney Classic played on Middlebury College's Ralph Myhre Golf Course.
An;s 76 Sunday was paired with a 6-over 77 Saturday, giving her a two-day total of 143 (11-over par). She was the top finished for the Mammoths, finishing in sixth-place individually.
The Mammoths finished at 62-over for the tournament, tied with host Middlebury for fourth place as a team. They were 16 strokes behind tourney winner Wellesley.
First-year
Annie Dai was the best Mammoth on the course Sunday with a 4-over 75 and finished at 12-over for the two-day tournament, good for 9th-place overall.
After a 7-ver par 78 Sunday,
Joelle Kim got into the clubhouse at 19-over and placed 27th overall.
Ivy Haight shot a 9-over 80 Sunday and placed 30th overall.
