On the individual leaderboard, first-year Mekhala Costello leads the Mammoths at 2 over par with three birdies through 13 holes to tie for 12th in the field of 176 golfers. First-years Jia An and Annie Dai are each tied for 19th place at 3 over par. First-year Joelle Kim is tied for 58th at 6 over par through 15 holes and sophomore Abigail Kim is a stroke behind through 16 holes and tied for 78th place.

Carnegie Mellon sophomore Samantha Wang has the top score in the clubhouse at 1 over. Middlebury junior Audrey Tir, Williams junior Euna Lee and Grinnell junior Kavya Keshav are atop the leaderboard at 1 under with the remainder of the first round to complete.

The Mammoths, ranked 11th in the Clippd rankings entering the tournament, return to the course on Wednesday (May 14) to finish the first round and play the second round with tee times beginning at 11:45 a.m. Only the top 15 teams will advance to Thursday's third round and Friday's final round.
