BRUNSWICK, ME — The #14 Amherst College men's squash team completed an impressive comeback on Thursday night to edge #21 Bowdoin, 5–4, after trailing 0–3 and later 2–4 on the road to wrap up their Maine trip with a win. With a heartbreaking loss from Wednesday's match against Colby, the Mammoths found a way to fight and bounce back on Thursday to seal the victory and head back home on a positive note.
Amherst improves their overall record to 7-3, and 4-2 in the NESCAC. With the Little 3 matches coming up next week, the win over Bowdoin is an important one. When the Mammoths were trailing 2-4, #1 Roman Parisi, #4 Gabe Yu, and #7 Grady Herbert won in straight sets 3-0 to give Amherst the 5-4 victory.

At #1 singles, Roman Parisi had a strong performance late into the match, producing a 3–0 victory over Bowdoin's Fotis Zafiriou, 3–0 (11–8, 11–6, 11–1) in 40 minutes.

At #7 singles, Grady Herbert produced the quickest win of the night, cruising past Bowdoin's Sachith Vissapragada 3–0 (11–3, 11–3, 12–10) in only 24 minutes.

The Mammoths were unlucky in the fifth sets on Thursday, losing all three five-set matches they faced.
