MEDFORD, MA — The #13 Amherst College women's squash team traveled to Medford on Tuesday to face a NESCAC foe, #10 Tufts University. The Mammoths bounced back from a clean sweep loss against Princeton on Monday by prevailing over the Jumbos in a close 5-4 victory. The match was the third NESCAC match for the Mammoths, making their record in the conference 3-0, and improving their overall record to 6-1.

In the 2024-2025 season, Amherst suffered two 5-4 losses to Tufts, so the turnaround this season is an impressive feat. The victory over the Jumbos is also their first over them since 2020. 

GAME HIGHLIGHTS:

• Kanzy Elkaliuoby won in five sets over Ella Hill in the #3 singles spot with the score of 11-7, 11-4, 8-11, 10-12, 11-2. 

• Brigid Brandon (#9), Fionnoula Brandon (#7), and Anastasiia Krykun (#2) all won in straight sets.
